Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens is the Cutest Couple‏

Hollywood couple Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens is not only loved by Americans but other people globally such as Australians. Efron and Hudgens who first became an item when they starred alongside each other in High School Musical were given the enviable award of the Cutest Couple at this year’s Australian Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Australia.

The pair beat other favorites such as Twilight couple Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, Orlando Bloom and Miranda Kerr. Miley Cyrus and on-off boyfriend Liam Hemsworth were also beaten to the award.

The event which came off at the Sydney Entertainment Centre also saw Justin Bieber being crowned as Hottest Hottie instead of other contenders Taylor Lautner, Taylor Swift and local star, Rachael Finch. Rove McManus also won the Awesome Aussie prize from contenders like Bindi Irwin, Tim Cahill and Torah Bright.

The Best Book award was also taken away by Twilight series which left contenders Tomorrow, When the War Began, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows as well as Diary of A Wimpy Kid empty handed. Local sailor Jessica Watson who is regarded by many as the youngest to sail around the world without resting or help from anyone was also given the Platinum Achievement award.

This year’s Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards in Australia had hosts such as Jerry Trainor, Liam Hemsworth and Jessica Mauboy while Short Stack, Amy Meredith, Cody Simpson and Justin Crew all performed live.
